Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. When she was a teenager she was involved both in traditional and popular music. However, her musical interests have expanded to encompass soul and hip-hop. Pepe Habichuela Flamenco guitarist with a lot of talent, describes her voice as one that was sweet and had an old-fashioned bite. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually receiving an Grammy. In 2021, her song La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. This set was released March 2022 after a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to sing on her own on the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home The Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman to do so.
